Use these notes if you have previously installed the SCRUBS for SQL Server 2008 Community Edition, and have already deployed the datawarehouse, application files and SQL Server Agent job for automated Execution Log scrubbing. An upgrade merely requires copying the updated SSIS file, and deploying the Premium Reports catalog.

A. Unzip the download package to a temporary directory

B. Copy the SSIS Folder to your Existing SCRUBS Application Directory

1. From your download package, find the find the folder SummitCloud\SCRUBS\SSIS
2. Copy this folder and overwrite the entire folder in your existing SCRUBS application directory. By default, this is located at c:\Program Files\SummitCloud\SCRUBS\SSIS

By default, this is c:\Program Files\SummitCloud\SCRUBS



D. Deploy the SCRUBS for SQL Server 2008 Reports
Note: Reports can be run from BIDS (Visual Studio) or may be deployed to any SQL Server 2008 Reporting Services instance that can connect to the SCRUBS datawarehouse. You may deploy to SQL Native mode or SharePoint integrated mode installations.

 

1. Open Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS)
   
2. From the File Menu, select Open, then Project/Solution...
   
   
3. Browse to the location of the SCRUBS solution file. By default, this is c:\Program Files\SummitCloud\SCRUBS\Premium Edition Reports\Community Edition Reports.sln
   
   
4. Right Click the Solution and select Properties to change the deployment location. The defaults are shown below. However, as noted above, you may deploy to another SSRS 2008 instance in native or SharePoint mode.
   Note that the reporting datasource uses Integrated Secuity. Change the credential settings in that file as your environment dictates.
   
    
5. On the Build Menu, select 'Deploy Premium Edition Reports'
   
    
6. After successful deployment, browse to the location of the SummitCloud folder.
   
   
7. Select the Premium Edition Reports folder.
